funget

HTTP file transfer tool with ranged concurrency, resume and PUT/POST upload.

Ranged concurrencySplits a file by range, downloads in parallel and resumes after an interruption.
Uploads tooBoth PUT and POST uploads are supported.
No Python neededThe CLI is a statically linked native binary, identical across every channel.
Also a libraryThe Python package exposes four download and upload functions over the same Rust core.

Install

4 channels

Every channel installs the same binaries from the same release.

Installs the funget .deb, for amd64 and arm64.

sudo apt install funget

Upgrading later

sudo apt update && sudo apt install --only-upgrade funget

The bare name is enough — brew resolves it across every tap you have added.

brew install funget

Upgrading later

brew upgrade funget

If you have a Rust toolchain.

cargo install funget

Installs the Python library only; it does not ship the funget command. Use one of the channels above for the CLI.

pip install funget

If you would rather not add the source, take the files straight from this release. Each one says which devices it is for.
